Pair homemade candied pecans with your Stella Artois for a simple and perfect way to bring out the holiday spirit in all of your guests this season. Sweet spices like cinnamon and brown sugar go exceptionally well with the bold flavor of our classic pilsner.
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg white
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (pure ceylon cinnamon is best)
8 ounces (about 2 cups) raw pecan halves or pieces
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Line your baking dish with aluminum foil.
Whisk egg whites, brown sugar, vanilla, granulated sugar and cinnamon together.
Add the pecans and toss until fully coated.
Place pecans onto the baking sheet in a single layer and make sure they are spread evenly.
Bake for 30 minutes (stirring the pecans after 10 minutes and every 5 minutes after that).
Let cool 15 minutes.
Stir as they cool to prevent them from sticking together.
